Pinot Noir for around $20. It's money.

I like a Rioja. Price is overrated. If you like the taste, you like the taste. You could like a $25 bottle of a wine over a $75.

If so, what do you like and what price range.

Doesn't matter what I like, what do you like?

I drink mainly Zin, Bordeaux/Cab and Pinot/Burgundy, but also drink Brunello, CDP, Barolo/Barbaresco and anywhere from $10-$250/bottle.

You know, a screwtop used to be a sure sign of a shitty wine. Nowadays, however, a lot of the top vineyards are switching to corkless screwtops by choice.

Only at work gigs where beer is unsophisticated\borderline WT alert material & when eating a nice nearly raw high quality steak.

I love wine, and I'm not an old fucking fart either. Something about the buzz of wine makes beer and liquor pale in comparison for me. Not sure why. Anyways, to answer your question I guess, I'd keep a few bottles anything dark (but not spicy) $30 + for the first couple glasses then after that fuck it. Once you get that palete eased you could be drinking some shit from fucking Family Dollar and still have a great time/meal/occasion whatever.

Well, that's just me.

I love a Pinot Noir from Oregon. It is either Jacob or Marcus Bynum - can't recall the first name. About $40/bottle. Best I've had.

I also like Chianti (And most Italians) and Shiraz.

Also a very big fan of the 50 year old grand marnier outside of wine.

We like similar wines - my only problem is I buy a bottle every other day - and these Italian wines or French wines for the most part cost $70 for the good ones - I have been drinking some Shirazs the past month and there are some good wines for under $40 - I mean wines in the low 90 point range - in fact, one Epsilon costs $23 and rates a 94 by WA - maybe I'll try that Pinot Noir someone mentioned - I'm not a huge fan of Noir or Merlot but maybe I have not had anything good - for the most part I look bigger wines.

I have a small celler with about 500 bottles....I never recommend a wine. A good wine in my eyes may not be the same to you. A friend who is very very knowlegable on wines said to me once. Wines are like movies reviews, what you find Funny I might hate,,,,Wines are no different...Buy cheap buy expensive and taste, you will find out what you like and then drink. Cost means nothing to your Tast buds...only to your Mind

Really?:think2:

Nice way to cut off the rest of what I drink. Zin is good for "lesser" quality foods like burgers, pizza, etc. I'm not going to bust out an 82 Pichon Lalande with a hamburger. Besides, wine is personal taste anyway. Someone mentioned Merlot and I would only use that to cook with.

JoeyFitz is right w/ the Castello Banfi, really good stuff.
